Recall Summary Shimadzu Corporation is recalling Lightvision and Lightvision2 near-infrared camera systems used during surgery and medical procedures because welding defects in the camera holder may cause the camera to detach from its mounting during use. The recall affects 33 Lightvision units manufactured between August 2016 and March 2022, and 3 Lightvision2 units manufactured between January 2025 and March 2026. No injuries have been reported, and the manufacturer is offering replacement of the affected camera holder parts.
