Ford Scorpio: Possible Chafing Of Battery Cable

Ford is recalling 18,930 Scorpio and Granada vehicles because the battery cable may not be properly secured, which could cause it to rub against an opening in the vehicle's internal wall. This chafing could lead to an electrical short circuit or damage to the cable itself. Ford will inspect the affected vehicles and repair the battery cable routing where needed.
