Lucid: Inverter May Fail And Cause A Loss Of Drive Power (electrical System)

Lucid is recalling certain 2024-2025 Air vehicles with rear-wheel drive because the Gen 4 inverter may develop internal friction, become damaged, and cause a loss of drive power. A loss of drive power increases crash risk. Lucid will send an over-the-air software update to monitor for inverter failure and will replace the inverter at no cost if a problem is detected.

Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Lucid USA, Inc. (Lucid) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Air vehicles equipped with rear-wheel drive. The Gen 4 inverter may experience internal friction and become damaged, causing a loss of drive power.

Reason

A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash. Remedy: Lucid will release an over-the-air (OTA) software update to continually inspect for an inverter failure. If a failure is detected Lucid will replace the inverter, free of charge. Owner notification letters are scheduled to be mailed July 10, 2026. Owners may contact Lucid at 1-888-995-8243.
