Jaguar F Type: Vehicle May Become Unstable At High Speeds
Jaguar is recalling 102 F-Type vehicles because a software issue in the engine management system may fail to limit the vehicle's speed to 137 mph if the rear spoiler doesn't deploy properly, which could make the vehicle unstable at high speeds. This primarily affects vehicles driven in Europe or on private tracks where higher speeds are possible, rather than those used only in the UK. The fix involves installing updated software.

- Product
- Vehicles: JAGUAR F TYPE. Units affected: 102
- Reason
- Due to an issue with the software in the engine management system (EMS) it is possible that the EMS will not restrict the vehicle speed to 137mph if the Deployable Rear Spoiler (DRS) does not deploy when it should . This can affect vehicle stability; although this should not affect vehicles used in the UK due to the National Speed Limit however it could affect vehicles that travel to Europe or are used on private grounds. Remedy: Recall all affected vehicles to have new software installed.
