Mercedes Benz Vito: Risk Of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning And/or Fire

Recall Summary Mercedes-Benz is recalling 4 Vito and V Class vehicles because the auxiliary heater exhaust pipe may not be properly routed due to a missing or incorrect cutout in the vehicle floor. This could allow exhaust fumes, including carbon monoxide, to enter the vehicle interior and creates a potential fire risk to the underfloor panels. Affected vehicle owners will need to have their vehicles inspected and repaired to ensure the exhaust pipe is correctly routed and the necessary floor cutout is in place.
