Suzuki Dl650: Engine May Stall And/or Fail To Restart

Suzuki DL650 and LT-A750 Recall Summary Suzuki is recalling approximately 5,156 DL650 and LT-A750 motorcycles because the insulation on stator wiring can be damaged by engine heat, potentially causing electrical shorts. This damage may reduce charging to the battery, which could result in engine stalling while riding or difficulty restarting the engine. The manufacturer will replace the stator set on affected motorcycles.

Product
Vehicles: SUZUKI DL650, SUZUKI LT-A750. Units affected: 5,156
Reason
The insulation material of wiring for the stator may be damaged by engine heat and a short-circuit between the wiring may occur. Continued use of the motorcycle with this condition may cause the generating current of the stator coil to be reduced and insufficient charging to the battery may result. In the worst case it can lead to the engine stalling during running and/or the engine may be impossible to restart. Remedy: Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and replace the Stator Set.
