Ford Transit: Possible Brake Failure
- Recalling firm
- FORD
- Product
- Vehicles: FORD TRANSIT. Units affected: 16,348
- Reason
- It is possible that the material specification of the brake pedal pin retaining R clip is not correct. This can cause the spring tension of the clip to reduce. If not rectified there is a possibility that the R clip could become detached which can result in the separation of the brake pedal and the brake booster push rod. This will result in brake failure. Remedy: Recall all affected vehicles and replace the R clip with a new quality assured one.
