2015 Pierce Arrow Xt - Structure

Pierce fire trucks from 2015 to 2026 (certain models: Arrow XT, Impel, Velocity, and Enforcer) are being recalled due to a software issue that could cause a stability light to remain on even after the rear stabilizer loses ground contact, potentially causing the truck to shift while the aerial device is in use. This defect affects approximately 2,736 single rear-axle fire trucks and could pose an injury risk to operators. Pierce will mail owners instructions to update the software and perform a functionality check, or owners can schedule service at a Pierce dealership.

Issue: Under certain conditions after the fire truck has been auto-leveled, a software problem could cause the firm-on-ground system light to remain on after the rear stabilizer loses contact with the ground. As a result, the fire truck could shift when the aerial device is being used. Note: This recall only affects certain fire trucks equipped with a single rear axle.
