Ford is recalling certain Transit light commercial vehicles in Germany because the wiring harness may be positioned too close to the transmission housing, which could damage the cables and cause power-assisted steering to fail. This defect creates risks of fire from electrical short circuits and potential accidents. The vehicles do not meet EU motor vehicle safety regulations.
