2013 Ford Fusion - Powertrain

Ford is recalling 446 vehicles from the 2013-2016 model years (certain Fusion and Focus models with 1.0L or 1.6L engines and manual transmissions) because previous repair work done under an earlier recall may not have been completed correctly. Repeated clutch slipping could cause the pressure plate to fracture, potentially allowing transmission fluid to leak onto hot engine components and create a fire risk. Ford will mail owners with instructions to visit a dealership for a software update to prevent prolonged clutch slipping.
