Jeep Cherokee - Antriebsausfall, Ausfall Park-funktion
Jeep Cherokee Recall Summary Certain Jeep Cherokee vehicles built between October 2016 and February 2019 may experience unexpected power loss or loss of parking brake function due to an incorrectly installed snap ring in the power transfer unit. The manufacturer will fix the issue through a software update that reprograms the all-wheel-drive control unit and power transfer unit, or by replacing the power transfer unit if a fault is detected. This recall affects vehicles distributed in Germany.

- Nicht korrekt eingesetzter Sicherungsring in der Power Transfer Unit kann zu einem unerwarteten Leistungsverlust und/oder zum Ausfall der Park-Funktion führen.. Remedy: Softwareupdate. Dabei werden das Allrad-Steuergerät (DTCM) sowie die PTU neu programmiert. Wenn bereits ein PTU-Fehler von der Software bestätigt wird, wird diese PTU ersetzt.
