Harley Davidson Fx: Possibility Of Fire
- Recalling firm
- HARLEY DAVIDSON
- Product
- Vehicles: HARLEY DAVIDSON FX. Units affected: 1,230
- Reason
- It has been identified that the possibility exists that the battery positive lead may contact a weld bead on the oil tank. This may cause the weld bead to abrade the insulation on the cable and cause an electrical short circuit from the battery through the oil tank and oil lines. This could lead to an oil leak and or the possibility of a fire. Remedy: Recalled machines will have a battery caddy installed that will protect the cable and ensure correct routing.
