Mercedes Benz Antos: Risk Of Brake Failure
Recall Summary Mercedes Benz Antos trucks have a defect where front brake hoses may rub against other parts due to insufficient clearance, potentially causing the hose to wear through and the front brake on one side to fail. The recall affects 12 vehicles and will be repaired by installing new hoses and brackets designed to prevent this contact.

- Product
- Vehicles: MERCEDES BENZ ANTOS. Units affected: 12
- Reason
- There is insufficient room for the front brake hoses to move with the steering and suspension without chafing the hose. Should a brake hose chafe through the front wheel brake of the affected axle side could fail upon pressing the brake pedal. The front wheel brake on the affected axle side may therefore fail in the most unfavourable case. Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to fit new hoses and brackets which are the same as the current production.
