Ford Fiesta: Relay May Overheat And Catch Fire
Ford Fiesta Recall Summary Ford is recalling approximately 10,265 Fiesta vehicles with diesel engines in the United Kingdom because the Glow Plug Control Module installed during a previous recall may not be waterproof. Water entering the module can cause it to overheat and potentially catch fire, including when the vehicle is unattended. Ford will inspect affected vehicles and replace the module with a waterproof version.

- Reason
- On affected vehicles the diesel engine Glow Plug Control Module previously repalced under Recall R/2014102 may not be not waterproof and water ingress into the module may cause overheating with the potential to result in a fire. As the GPCM has a permanent electrical live feed there is also a potential risk of an unattended vehicle fire. Remedy: Recheck those vehicles which may have had a suspect replacement fitted and replace module with correct waterproof version
