Nissan PIXO Heater Fan Motor Recall Nissan is recalling 14,548 PIXO vehicles because the heater fan motor can overheat and seize, potentially causing smoke to come from the heating vents or in extreme cases, a vehicle fire. Recalling firm
Nissan Motor (GB) Limited
Product
Vehicles: Nissan Motor () PIXO. Units affected: 14,548
Reason
It is possible that the heater fan motor may seize at slow speed. Under extreme conditions this may cause the internal temperature of the heater fan circuit to increase. If this occurs the thermal fuse may not cut-out which will result in an overheating of the fan and its surrounding area. The driver will find smoke being exhaled via the heater vents and in extreme circumstances there could be a vehicle fire. Remedy: Recall all affected vehicles and replace the heater motor thermal fuse with an up-rated item.
