Mercedes-benz Vans Vito: Electrical Wiring In Steering Assembly May Be Insufficiently Grounded

Mercedes-Benz is recalling 13,752 Vito vans because electrical wiring in the steering assembly may not be properly grounded, which can cause the steering column clock spring to break. A broken clock spring may trigger warning lights on the dashboard, and in severe cases could cause the driver's airbag to deploy unexpectedly. Mercedes-Benz will repair the vehicles by establishing proper grounding of the steering components.
