Recall Summary Cummins is recalling 24 vehicles with ISB4.5E6C210H diesel engines because engine pistons may develop cracks that increase pressure in the crankcase, potentially causing the rocker cover to crack and leak oil. A leaking rocker cover creates a fire risk. The manufacturer will install a crankcase pressure sensor that alerts drivers when pressure becomes abnormal.

- On affected vehicles the engine piston crown may develop a crack and create elevated crankcase pressure which may cause the rocker cover to fracture. A fractured rocker cover may allow oil to escape increasing the risk of a fire. Remedy: Fit a crankcase pressure sensor which will trigger an associated fault code and provide visible warning that crankcase pressures are above normal levels.
