Boxer Ng
Recall Summary Peugeot is recalling certain Boxer NG light commercial vehicles because a software configuration error may prevent the body control module from detecting when indicator light bulbs have failed. This means drivers may not receive warning signals when their turn signals or other indicator lights stop working, making it harder for other drivers to see their intentions on the road.
- Recalling firm
- Peugeot
- Product
- Light commercial vehicle. VIN: VF3YDDEF5PG069379 - VF3YCF8FXSG023937. Boxer NG
- Reason
- Due to a mistranslation of the configuration data between two production systems, the vehicle’s body control module (BCM) may not be correctly configured to detect indicator light failures. If an indicator bulb fails, the BCM may not detect the fault and the warning signal may not illuminate, reducing communication with other road users and increasing the risk of an accident. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
