Volvo Car S80: Coolant Leakage May Result In A Fire

Recall Summary Volvo is recalling approximately 19,152 vehicles (S80, S60, V40, V60, and V70 models) because coolant can leak during engine warm-up in cold weather or during hard acceleration after a cold start, potentially causing smoke or fire in the engine compartment. Drivers will receive a dashboard warning of low coolant levels before this occurs. Volvo will modify the coolant bypass valve and install a new exhaust manifold gasket to fix the issue.
