Mitsubishi Lancer Jt: Activation Of A Non-dessicated Ammonium Nitrate Inflator With Degraded Propellant May Result In An Inflator Rupture
Recall Summary Mitsubishi is recalling 55,024 Lancer and i-Car vehicles sold in the United Kingdom because their airbag inflators may rupture when activated due to degraded propellant in the inflator. The affected vehicles have airbag inflators that use ammonium nitrate that was not properly dried, which increases the rupture risk. Mitsubishi will replace the faulty airbag inflators with new non-ammonium nitrate models.
