Triumph A2021334 (lever Kit): Brake Lever May Not Perform As Intended And Braking Efficiency May Be Reduced

Recall Summary Triumph is recalling 39 aftermarket front brake lever kits (model A2021334) because a manufacturing error may cause the brake lever to contact the handlebar grip before full braking power is reached, potentially increasing stopping distances during emergency braking. The affected vehicles are in the United Kingdom. Triumph will replace the defective brake lever kits with corrected versions.

Reason
Under certain circumstances a dimensional error on the subject aftermarket front brake levers may cause the brake lever blade to contact the handlebar grip before maximum brake performance is achieved. This condition if present may lead to longer overall stopping distances in an emergency braking situation increasing the risk of a crash. (Note that operation of the brake lever in adjustment positions 3 4 5 and 6 will avoid the above described handlebar grip contact situation.) Remedy: Recall the machines that are likely to be affected and fit a dimensionally correct Front Brake Lever Kit...
