2026 Hyundai Palisade - Seats And Restraints

2026 Hyundai Palisade Seat Belt Recall Hyundai is recalling approximately 4,203 2026 Palisade vehicles because wiring for the third-row left seat belt buckle can become damaged when pulled, causing the seat belt indicator on the dashboard to show as buckled when it's not. This faulty indicator could cause occupants to unknowingly go unrestrained, increasing injury risk in a crash. Hyundai will send owners a notice and ask them to visit a dealership to have the wiring harness reinforced and the seat belt buckle assembly replaced if needed.

Reason
Issue: On certain vehicles, the wiring for the third-row left-hand (driver's side) seat belt buckle could become damaged when the buckle is pulled. As a result, the seat belt status indicator in the instrument panel may incorrectly show that a seat belt is buckled when it's not. Safety Risk: A seat belt status indicator that doesn't work correctly could create confusion. Not wearing a seat belt increases the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install an extension to the wiring harness....
