Jeep Cherokee: Possibility Of Unintended Acceleration

Recall Summary Jeep is recalling 20 Cherokee vehicles in the United Kingdom because the cruise control system may cause the vehicle to continue accelerating briefly after the driver releases the accelerator pedal following a manual acceleration. The issue occurs when cruise control is active and the driver presses the pedal to go faster than the cruise control setting, then releases it. Jeep will fix this by reprogramming the adaptive cruise control module with new software.
