Renault Kangoo: Seatbelt May Fail

Renault is recalling 2,243 Kangoo vehicles because the lower seat belt mounting bolts may loosen and detach, which could prevent the seat belt from restraining occupants in a crash. The manufacturer will replace the affected bolts. This recall applies to vehicles distributed in the United Kingdom.

Product
Vehicles: RENAULT KANGOO. Units affected: 2,243
Reason
There is a possible issue with the security of the lower seat belt mounting bolt which could cause it to loosen. If this were to occur then the bolt could ultimately fully unwind and detach. This could result in the occupant not being restrained by the seat belt in the event of a collision. Remedy: Recall all affected vehicles and replace the lower seat belt mounting bolts.
