Ford Kuga: B-pillar Trim Insulation Too Close To The Seat Belt Pretentioner
Ford Kuga Recall Summary Ford is recalling 29,904 Kuga vehicles because insulation material on the inside of the B-pillar (the structural post between front and rear doors) is positioned too close to the seat belt pretentioner. If the pretentioner deploys during a collision, it could generate heat that ignites the insulation material and cause a fire. Ford will remove a section of the insulation material from both B-pillars to fix the problem.
