- Reason
- The bolts securing the steering gear adaptor plate to the chassis mounting casting may not have been tightened to the correct torque at initial assembly. If not corrected this could have an effect on steering control. Remedy: Recall the affected vehicles and check the torque of the steering gear adaptor plate to chassis bracket bolts tightening to the manufacturers specification where necessary. Any bolts suspected of being damaged due to looseness should be replaced.
