2024 Lucid Air - Powertrain

Recall Summary Lucid is recalling 68 certain 2024 and 2025 Air Pure rear-wheel drive models because the inverter that powers the wheels could fail without warning, causing a loss of power while driving. This sudden power loss could increase the risk of a crash. Lucid will send owners a wireless software update that monitors the inverter and alerts drivers to problems, at which point they can contact a service center for inverter replacement if needed.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the inverter for the drive unit could fail and cause a loss of power to the wheels. Note: This recall only affects certain Air Pure rear-wheel drive models. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash.
