Honda is recalling 520 CRF250R motorcycles with clutch outer parts that may break if the bike is repeatedly ridden at high engine speeds, potentially causing the engine to lock and the rider to lose control. The clutch outer will be replaced at no cost. This recall affects motorcycles distributed in the United Kingdom.

Recalling firm
HONDA MOTORCYCLES
Product
Vehicles: HONDA MOTORCYCLES CRF250R. Units affected: 520
Reason
The shape of the clutch outer and heat treatment of judder spring are unsuitable. Because of that if a unit is ridden repeatedly with high engine rpm the temperature of clutch outer will become high decreasing material strength resulting in breakage of the clutch outer. The Clutch Failing could result in the Engine Locking Possibly causing the rider to fall off the bike. Remedy: Clutch outer to be replaced free of charge.
