Chevrolet Corvette: Low Beam Headlights May Fail

Chevrolet is recalling 143 Corvettes in the United Kingdom because the low beam headlight wire may develop internal cracks from repeated heating and cooling, causing the low beams to stop working when the engine is hot. The low beams may work again once the engine cools down. Chevrolet will modify the wiring on affected vehicles to fix the issue.

Product
Vehicles: CHEVROLET CORVETTE. Units affected: 143
Reason
On affected vehicles the low beam wire to the relay may internally fracture due to expansion and contraction. This may lead to the low beam not working when the engine bay is hot and the wire has expanded. When the wire cools the low beam may be re-connected. Remedy: Modify wiring on affected vehicles.
