Renault Trafic: Vehicle Rear Lighting Systems May Fail
Renault is recalling 648 Trafic vehicles because the rear lights may stop working due to damaged wiring insulation on a roof bracket, which increases the risk of collisions since other drivers won't see brake lights or turn signals. The vehicle owner may notice a burnt smell, faster-than-normal flashing warning lights, or other electrical failures in the rear. Renault will inspect the affected vehicles and replace the wiring as needed, along with adding protection to prevent future damage.
