Suzuki Sfv-650: Possibility Of Tank Deforming And Fuel Leak
Recall Summary Suzuki is recalling 232 SFV-650 motorcycles because the fuel tank breather hose may have been installed incorrectly during manufacturing, potentially becoming kinked and blocking airflow. A blocked breather can cause pressure to build up inside the fuel tank, leading to deformation and fuel leaks. Dealers will inspect the breather hose, replace it if necessary, and replace the fuel tank if damage is found.

- Vehicles: SUZUKI SFV-650. Units affected: 232
- Reason
- The fuel tank breather may have been positioned incorrectly during assembly and become kinked. If the hose is kinked the air flow through the breather hose will be obstructed and the fuel tank internal vacuum can become high and cause the tank to deform with the possibility damage to the tank and fuel leaking. Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check the fuel tank breather for airflow. The fuel tank breathers will be replaced. If tank damage is found replace fuel tank.
