2021 Volkswagen Id.4 - Lights And Instruments

Recall Summary Volkswagen and Audi are recalling approximately 37,190 vehicles from 2021-2023 (ID.4 and Q4 e-tron models) because a software problem can prevent the "N" (Neutral) gear position from displaying on the instrument cluster. Without knowing the transmission is in neutral, a vehicle could roll away if the brakes and parking brake aren't engaged. Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and ask them to have a dealership update the brake control unit software to fix the issue.
