Ktm Duke: Reduced Braking Performance

KTM is recalling 132 Duke motorcycles sold in the United Kingdom because bolts securing the front brake caliper may not have been tightened to the proper specification. If these bolts are loose, brake fluid could leak out, reducing braking performance. KTM will inspect the affected motorcycles and tighten the bolts as needed.

Product
Vehicles: KTM DUKE. Units affected: 132
Reason
It is possible that the bolts that secure the two halves of the front wheel brake caliper have not been torqued to the correct specification. This could in extreme circumstances result in a loss of brake fluid and subsequent reduction of brake pressure which could lead to a reduction in braking performance. Remedy: Recall all affected machines to check and if required tighten the bolts to the correct torque specification.
