Aston Martin Db9: Movement Of Seat May Damage Battery Supply Cable
Recall Summary Aston Martin is recalling approximately 26,168 DB9, Virage, DBS, and Vanquish vehicles because moving the right front seat all the way back can pinch the battery supply cable, potentially damaging it. A damaged cable could cause an electrical short circuit or overheating. Dealers will inspect the cable for damage, install a protective block to prevent compression, and replace the cable if needed.

- Reason
- In some circumstances when the right side front seat is operated to its fully reward position the seat runner can compress the battery supply cable and cause the seat to damage the battery supply cable. This may cause an open circuit and/or ground the supply cable which may then overheat. Remedy: On affected vehicles examine the battery supply cable for damage and install a routing block to ensure that the seat runner cannot compress the battery supply cable. If necessary replace the cable.
