2012-2018 Ford Focus Fuel System Recall Summary Ford is recalling approximately 110,000 Focus vehicles from model years 2012-2018 because repairs made during a previous recall may not have been completed correctly. A faulty canister purge valve can cause the fuel tank to deform, leading to incorrect fuel gauge readings and loss of power to the wheels, which increases crash risk. Dealers will update the vehicle's software and replace the canister purge valve and related fuel system components as needed.
