2021 Grand Design Solitude Fifth Wheel Trailer - Suspension

Recall Summary Grand Design is recalling certain 2021-2024 Momentum and Solitude fifth wheel trailers because U-bolts connecting the axles to the suspension may not be properly tightened, which could allow an axle to shift and cause loss of control while towing. Reason

This recall was replaced by Transport Canada recall no. 2026-030. Issue: On certain RV trailers, the U-bolts that attach the axles to the suspension may not be properly tightened. As a result, an axle could slide back on the spring. This could cause poor handling and lead to a loss of control. Safety Risk: A loss of control could create the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Grand Design RV will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect the leaf springs. They will be repaired or replaced, as necessary.
