Lti Tx4: Short Circuit May Occur
- Recalling firm
- LTI
- Product
- Vehicles: LTI TX4. Units affected: 531
- Reason
- The battery/alternator positive lead connection has been found insecure in its crimped connector to the starter motor on a small number of vehicles. This could cause prolonged engine cranking/difficulty in starting and if they detached from the starter motor during normal driving the engine would eventually loose power. It could also result in the cable electrically shorting against metalic components in the surrounding area. Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to test the cable fixing and where necessary replace the entire positive lead.
