2017 Jeep Cherokee - Powertrain

Certain 2017-2019 Jeep Cherokees with a two-speed power transfer unit may have an improperly installed snap ring that could cause the PTU to fail, resulting in loss of power to the wheels or the vehicle rolling when parked. Affected owners in Canada will be notified and advised to have their vehicle updated with new software at a dealership to monitor for problems. If the system detects an issue, the PTU will need to be replaced.
