2021.0 BMW R 18 - Electrical

Recall Summary BMW is recalling 2021-2024 R 18 motorcycles because the reverser control unit may not have been properly sealed during a previous repair, allowing water to enter and cause corrosion. If the control unit corrodes, it can short circuit, which creates a fire risk and may disable the reverse function. BMW will mail owners instructions to bring their motorcycles to a dealership for a replacement control unit.
