Daimler Truck Eactros 983: Srl250714 – Retrofit Screws Of Cover Caps In Rubber Profile Of Side Trim – Abd-kap
Recall Summary One Daimler Truck eACTROS 983 vehicle is being recalled because cover caps on the lower side trim may not be securely fastened. The catch lugs holding these caps can break during assembly, causing the caps to become loose and potentially fall off, which could allow the rubber profile seal underneath to shift or detach from the vehicle. Daimler Truck will replace the plugged-in cover caps with screwed-on versions.

- On affected vehicles the cover caps are plugged onto the retaining strip of the lower profile seal of the side trim. The catch lugs of the cover caps attached to the profile seals of the side trim frame may may break unnoticed during assembly and the cap may therefore only be inserted loosely. If a cover cap is lost the profile seal might wander and be lost from the vehicle. Remedy: Replace the plugged-in cover caps with screwed-on cover caps
