2020.0 Freightliner Cascadia - Brakes
Recall Summary Daimler Truck North America is recalling certain 2020-2023 Freightliner Cascadia and Western Star 49X trucks because previous brake repairs may not have been completed properly, and a software issue may fail to detect corrosion in brake modulator valves. If corrosion occurs, the brakes on one wheel could suddenly lock during automatic braking, causing the truck to pull to one side and potentially change direction. Owners will be notified by mail to have their trucks inspected and repaired at a DTNA authorized service facility, where valves will be replaced if needed and software will be updated.
