Honda Motorcycles Xl1000v-3: Brake Fluid May Leak
Recall Summary Honda is recalling approximately 156,366 motorcycles across multiple models because a seal in the braking system may be the wrong height, potentially allowing brake fluid to leak. If this problem occurs and goes unaddressed, the rear brake could stop working. Affected owners will be contacted to have their motorcycles inspected and repaired with a replacement brake valve if necessary.

- Reason
- It has been identified that on affected machines equipped with a CBS - combined braking system the height of the lip seal within the Proportional Control Valve (PCV) unit may be incorrect which may result in brake fluid leakage. Should the machine be used in this condition the rear brake may eventually become inoperative. Remedy: Potentially affected machines will be recalled inspected and rectified if necessary using a countermeasure Proportional Control Valve.
