BMW 4 Series Coupe: A Possible Degradation Of The Propellant Tablets Could Lead To An Over-aggressive Combustion In The Event The Airbag Is Activated Which May Cause The Inflator Body To Rupture.
BMW is recalling approximately 333,284 vehicles across multiple models due to a potential defect in airbag propellant tablets that could degrade over time. If an airbag deploys on an affected vehicle, the degraded propellant could combust too aggressively and cause the inflator to rupture. BMW will replace the driver's airbag module on all affected vehicles.
