Mercedes-benz Vans Sprinter 907: A Temporary Fault With The Automatic Transmission Internal Park Pawl Mechanism May Occur
Recall Summary Mercedes-Benz is recalling 5,962 Sprinter 907 vans with automatic transmissions because the park pawl mechanism may temporarily fail to engage properly in rare cases. The issue will be addressed through a software update to the ESP control unit that Mercedes-Benz service centers will install on affected vehicles.

Remedy: As a precautionary measure the Mercedes-Benz service organisation will update the ESP control unit software with a revised parameter set on the affected vehicles.
