Peugeot 4007: Short Circuit May Occur

Peugeot is recalling 14 units of the 4007 model vehicle because unused electrical connectors located under the rear footwell carpets can corrode when exposed to water or melted snow mixed with road salt, potentially causing electrical overheating. The manufacturer will reposition these electrical wires to a higher location on the seat frame to prevent contact with moisture. This recall affects vehicles distributed in the United Kingdom.

Product
Vehicles: PEUGEOT 4007. Units affected: 14
Reason
On affected vehicles connectors intended to supply the electric front seats fitted to some versions are not used and are located under the rear footwell carpets. If these connectors come into contact with water of melted snow mixed with snow removal products they may corrode over a period of time and cause localised electrical overheating. Remedy: The operation involves repositioning these electrical supply wires for the two front seats to move them higher up on the seat frame.
